How She Move is an energetic, gritty and ultimately inspiring coming of age tale about a gifted young woman who defies all the rules as she step dances her heart out to achieve her dreams. Featuring a fresh cast of new discoveries, this Sundance Film Festival hit marks the feature film debut of the electric RUTINA WESLEY, with street-style step sequences by top choreographer Hi Hat and special appearances by R&B singer-songwriter Keyshia Cole and comedian DeRay Davis. Bursting with raw talent and intelligence, Raya Green (WESLEY), the daughter of Jamaican immigrants, has always been the family’s one great hope. She won the rare chance to break out of their drug and crime-infested neighborhood when she was accepted into the exclusive Seaton Academy. But when her sister dies of an overdose, the family is shattered and Raya is forced to return to the place she tried so hard to escape.
When Ariel Baxter meets her new neighbor, Justine Miller, she thinks, I want what she has. Justine's world of clutter-free counters, fresh-baked bread, homemade crafts, neighborhood play dates, and organization techniques sparks her admiration. But when she hears rumors about Justine's real home life, she wonders . . . is Justine's perfection too good to be true?
A teenager looking to make something of herself takes a potentially dangerous path in this independent drama. Luz Garcia (Corina Calderon) was born and raised in Benavides, a small Texas town not far from the Mexican border. Benavides is a city in decline, and with few job prospects at home, Luz wants to go to college now that she's soon to graduate from high school. Her family doesn't have the money for higher education, so Luz concentrates on her skills as a weight lifter, hoping she can hone her skills to a point where she might win a scholarship. Luz's coach (Julio Cesar Cedillo) thinks she has potential, but insists she needs to build her strength carefully; her boyfriend Raynaldo (Jeremy Ray Valdez), however, urges her to take a more aggressive approach to training, and she begins using steroids in hopes of gaining an edge that will earn her a scholarship to the University of Texas. BENAVIDES BORN (aka ALL SHE CAN) was the first feature film from director Amy Wendel.

SHE for Women by Revlon COLOGNE SPRAY 1.7 oz / 50 ml
A formidable Scottish knight used to getting his way, Earl Hugh Dulonget of Hillcrest has gotten himself into a bind. His uncle’s will clearly states that Hugh must marry—yet he has just insulted his would-be bride by calling her a peasant! Now he must do whatever it takes to win back the fair Willa . . . Everyone has advice, it seems. His comrades-in-arms believe gifts and baubles will earn her love. The old witch who was her guardian wants Hugh to crawl back to Willa on his belly. And his castle priest suggests he read De Secretis Mulierum, a book on the secrets of women. But Hugh knows only one sure way to overcome her reluctance: he must convince Willa that his passion and devotion are not only what she needs, but what she wants more than anything else in the world.
Much like STOMP THE YARD and STEP UP HOW SHE MOVE showcases the hypnotic choreography and mind-blowing talent that make step dancing such a popular part of youth culture. In her film debut Rutina Wesley portrays Raya Green a high school student hailing from the projects. Her intelligence and drive bring her to a prestigious private school but she is forced back home after her sister's death from a drug addiction soaks up the last of Raya's tuition fund. With her parents working round the clock to make ends meet Raya finds herself gravitating to her former friends from the neighborhood. She rekindles her passion for dancing and gets involved with the local step dancing teams as they compete their way toward big money prizes. Realizing this is a second shot out of the projects she gives dancing everything: all the intensity fear and pride she has welled up inside her. HOW SHE MOVE effectively deals with some sensitive issues--drugs poverty and death--through the perspective of urban kids on the brink of adulthood. Though it's easy to get caught up in the dancing and fierce competition other heartfelt messages trickle through as well including the importance of family community and culture. With an impressive soundtrack and fantastic acting performances HOW SHE MOVE will truly entertain as well as inspire.

Georgia Durante was "The Kodak Girl" in 1968, the most photographed model in the country. Her journey found its way into the world of The Mob. As in many aspects of her life, Georgia stood out from the rest in the world of the Wiseguys. She became a trusted driver in a part of society where only men played the game. Georgia’s time in The Mob also brought to her the man that stole her heart. He later became the man that wanted to take her life. He was abusive. He was controlling. He was darkness in a human form. He was her husband. The Company She Keeps illustrates how negatives can be turned into positives in our lives. Georgia turns her getaway driving skills into a lucrative Stunt Driving business in Hollywood.
As the title to WYNTON MARSALIS's fifth Blue Note release indicates, He and She is about that eternally compelling and most elemental of subjects: the relationship between a man and a woman. The Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, trumpeter, and band leader, however, hasn't merely crafted a love story, but a life story -- a bittersweet rumination about the evanescence of life as well as the elusiveness of romance. Time is very much at the heart of He and She: the swift passage of time over the course of one's life, the mood-altering shifts of time within the duration of a song. It's an ambitious effort, combining spoken word and music, and Marsalis has given his quintet some formidable charts. The album is tempered with dashes of humor and plenty of swing. There's ease and elegance and more than a little wisdom in these grooves.
Norma Fox Mazer's remarkable story of two sisters fighting to survive against a world without caring, reissued in a 10th anniversary paperback edition, to coincide with Mazer's new novel in hardcover. In the sad, shabby trailer where Em Thurkill lived her first fourteen years, suffering her father's alcoholic rages and her mother's deathly silence, and in the three she lived trapped with her violent, unstable sister, there seems more than enough to end even the dream of hope.Yet Em Thurkill's story is a story of how hope outlives brutality. It is a story of one girl's sweetness, and almost unbearable pain. Heartbreaking, mesmerizing, and ultimately transcendent, this novel is a tribute to the astonishing resilience of the human soul.

Girls don’t do that.Girls shouldn’t do that.Girls can’t do that. Not very long ago, that’s exactly what many people said whenever a woman tried to play a sport or do anything athletic. Most people believed that women were too weak and delicate to play sports.  Fortunately, not all women believed what they were told. Trude Ederle, Louise Stokes, Tidye Pickett, Julie Krone and Danica Patrick didn't. When these sports pioneers were told “Girls don’t,” they did. When they were told “Girls shouldn’t,” they asked “why not?” And when they were told “Girls can’t,” they showed girls most certainly can. This book tells the story of these pioneers in women’s sports. Thanks to them, everyone knows now that girls can do anything they want.

The culmination of the last two year's work with Caamora took place on October 31st 2007 at the Wyspianski Theatre Katowice Poland. Spearheaded by Clive Nolan and Agnieszka Swita this epic production featured also guest musicians: Alan Reed (Pallas/Neo) & Christina Booth (Magenta) on vocals bassist John Jowitt (IQ Neo) Mark Westwood (Neo) & Martin Bowen on the guitars Richard West (Threshold) & Steve Williams on the keyboards as also Scott Higham on the drums. Additional orchestra and choir eye catching visuals and dramatic stage show formed an ambitious two hour musical journey. The musical landscape of 'She' is wide and varied: from the close intimate sounds of voice and piano through to the exhilaration and power of orchestra and choir the music is intense and colourful. Clive Nolan: "For me the blending of orchestra and rock band was one of the biggest challenges. I did not want these to be two separate entities stuck together (as is often the case with 'band and orchestra' albums) but one enormous blended sound." Stylistically "She" has elements of heavy rock and moments of pure opera - sometimes simple sometimes complex this is a rock opera that will stand the test of time.Track Listing/Features: OvertureThe StormThe VeilCovenant of FaithRescueThe Lost CityThe BondingAmbushThe JudgmentHistoryConfrontationVigilShadowsFire DanceCursedCloserDisbeliefMurderThe Eleventh HourResting PlaceThe HermitThe Sands of TimeEmbrace the FireThe Night BeforeThe Fire of LifeSystem Requirements:Running Time: 160 minsFormat: DVD AUDIO Genre: MUSIC DVD/LIVE PERFORMANCES UPC: 5907785031623 Manufacturer No: MMPDVD0132

This adventure story, wildly popular when first published in England in 1887, follows Leo Vancey and Horace Holly on an expedition to Africa. They encounter many serious and dangerous trials, including shipwreck, sickness, and hostile natives, before discovering a legendary lost city in a system of underground caverns. It is here that they meet Ayesha, or She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed, a white queen who is wise, beautiful, terrible in her love, and two thousand years old. Ayesha is a mythologically monstrous and all-powerful female, as mysterious and frightening as she is desirable, and absolutely lethal. She is both of the imagination and immediately real, for her magical walk through a pillar of fire has rendered her immortal, yet she lives on interminably to wait for the reincarnation of her love Kallikrates. When Ayesha becomes certain that Leo is her reincarnated love, he and his friend must decide if the goal of their quest is worth risking their lives with a woman who is deadlier than the male.
